Gaza – The Palestinian Information Technology Association of Companies (PITA) organized the 20th anniversary of the founding of the federation in conjunction with the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, which was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Palestinian Telecommunications Company
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Suhail Madoukh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications, Mr. Rami Abu Al-Oun, Vice Chairman of the Board, and Mr. Khalil Abu Salim, Director General of Gaza Region, Palestine Telecommunications Company, Paltel, on Tuesday 21 March 2019 From all sectors of information technology and member companies of the Union and representatives of the unions as well as the government and academic sector, and a number of legal persons and international institutions
Where the Union presented a presentation entitled “Beta 20” presented by Engineer Islam Badwan representative of the beta, which highlights the history of the Union in keeping with his work and the efforts accumulated since the establishment in 1999 and twenty years to implement its strategic objectives,
A panel discussion on “Bridging the Standardization Gap” was also held. Ashraf Al-Astal, Ismail Hamada, representative of the public sector. Mohammed Abu Nahla representing the private sector and d. Iyad Al-Shami representing the academic sector and m. Tarek Thabet is a representative of entrepreneurship.
Both Mr. Saeed Al-Zubdah, Chairman of Yukas Incubator through a speech on entrepreneurship and business incubators
As well as the participation of Mr. Abdullah Al-Tahrawi presented a presentation on the participatory economy and the most important platforms
Mr. Khadr Nasraoui participated in the joint free zones and how to benefit from them
The President of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Waleed Al-Hussari, also participated in the 20th anniversary of the Federation’s founding, as well as its blessing over the new Administrative Council.
It is worth mentioning the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Federation of Information Systems – Beta and the Center for Engineering Arbitration in the Engineers Syndicate, in order to enhance cooperation and in order to improve the field of engineering arbitration and to facilitate information systems companies in resolving contractual and technical disputes.
The event was concluded by honoring the members of the previous board of directors and handing over shields from Bita in appreciation of their efforts and wishing them more progress and sincere gratitude.
